Once we got to the kids section, Luke played for about half an hour with all the toys!
Most of Luke's chick friends have beautiful kitchenettes in there playroom, and when we go for a play, Luke spends the whole time playing with the kitchenette... he love them...actually I think he loves role playing. So today at IKEA you can guess what he played with the most... yep... THE KITCHENETTE!
The upcoming Junior Master Chef! |
Once we got home mum and I put on our thinking caps and got a little creative...
I got out one of Luke's plastic place mats that he never uses and turned in upside down and drew 4 red rings on it to look like burners, then grabbed 4 milk tops from the recycling bin, gave them a good wash and pinned then to the side in a row to look like stove nobs. I got out all my little tupperware containers and filled them with different things...
- Flour
- Soup Pasta
- Rice
- Milk
- Water
- Sand
I set up a table outside, with his plastic toys frying pan and pots, utensils and put one big container next to them with dishing washing water and sponge for a sink...and made his very own kitchenette...
Our Kitchenette ready to go! |

...and do the dishes! |
So much fun for something that didn't cost me at thing and worked just as well as the IKEA kitchenette...however I am thinking it (The IKEA kitchenette) might be a good Christmas present... we will have to check with dad...he doesn't want it to be too girly :)
