Katie got a pleasant surprise this week! Her Principal nominated her for an award! She won along with 1,100 other teachers throughout the USA!
They surprised her and her students in the classroom with the award and gifts she won! It was sponsored by Office M*x and she received $1,000 worth of classroom supplies!
Last year teachers spent 1 billion dollars of their own money for classroom supplies. This is to help some of the teachers get supplies for their classroom without having to spend their own money.
Since she this is only her 2nd year teaching it was greatly appreciated!
