Bridal bouquets.

Tomorrow some our best friends are getting married. I was asked to do the flowers... so here they are...

I started with this...buckets of flowers...

First I did 15 corsages...

Then started on the bouquets... The bride is from Canada and loves 'Lilly of the Valley' which is grown easily over their in the cold weather, however to get them fresh in Australia, you have to order them interstate from Melbourne and they are lucky to last a few days because of the heat... So the Bride asked her mum to bring some silk 'Lilly of the Valley' from Canada. When I received them, they were plastic and not at all bridal bouquet material! However this flower is sentimental to Julie (the bride) and no matter what they needed to be in the bouquet... Here is her bouquet...

This photo is the bouquet is laying down so the 'Lilly of the valley' is falling towards the bottom, obviously when its held they fall out around the roses. Not a huge fan of the 'spray' look, but you give the bride what she wants :)

A close up...

I love the diamonties (is that how you spell it)? in the roses!
I also love the bridesmaids bouquets!

They had Champagne Roses, Geraldton Wax and Freesia's in them with Leather Furn and Palm Fan as the foliage.

I'll try and remember my camera tomorrow and get some photos of the reception!... and of coarse the bride and groom :)

This is my creative splurge for the week!
