We're Going to the Zoo, Zoo, Zoo!

We had planned to do school but it was so beautiful outside! Lot's of sunshine, low 80's with a gentle breeze. The fall colors are magnificent! We just had to spend it outside. So we voted and it was unanimous- we went to the zoo!!

The sea otter was so playful! He put on a wonderful show for the kids!

He especially liked playing with Sarah through the glass!

The big brown bear was entertaining, too!  I was happy to get this pic through the glass!

Until I got this one! He was cooling of from the heat!

I've gotten a little feed back from the older kids. They say less posed pics more natural pics of the kids. Okay, Okay, I'll try!

This guy came right up to the window and took a good long look at the girls! I think he was hungry! Yikes!

No messing with this guy either! We were thrilled to get to see the animals but thankful we were in a safe place!

Emma and Ellie loved seeing the animals! This zoo excursion went much better than our one in China! (In China, Emma cried through the whole thing and it was about 100 degrees with high humidity!)

They loved watching the prairie dogs play! They are so cute! This guy is standing guard!

The camels were huddled together taking a break in the warm afternoon sun!

Sarah truly enjoys have her sisters at home! It is a blessing to see our girls together! Of course my mind now wanders to our other children in China. I so look forward to having them home to enjoy the beautiful days and the family outings!

The sharks were quite scary, too

This one really had his eye on Anna!

We had a wonderful day!
