Today we went to the Perth Royal Show!
We bought our tickets weeks ago and this week has been ticking by, with Luke not being well, and we were wondering if we were even going to make it!
However, Praise God, Luke had a good night and woke up this morning asking for weetbix and had no fever! WooHoo! So we packed our bags and off we went!
It was such a lovely day and we totally enjoyed it! It wasn't too busy or too hot. We didn't have to rush or wait for anything. We just cruised...
You can defiantly see how people get caught up in the show and over spend and over eat and over do it!
But with sooo much free entertainment you didn't really need to spend a cent to have fun!
Yes, we did buy 3 show bags, lunch and a few other things but what a lovely treat!
I was so organized and packed water, snacks, wallet, sunnines, keys, nappies and camera. Only to pull out the camera and find I had left the memory stick thing, in my computer at home!! Ahhh... so all these 'Royal Show' photos are taken from the phone :(
If it were up to Luke we would have spent the whole day with the animals! He loved it! After convincing him to pat a chicken....he wanted to pat every animal he saw! There was no stopping him!! :)
And that's no bull ;)
Here we are at the 'Hold a chick' pen...we have to do it a few times cause Luke loved it so much!
We went on the carousel... however he wouldn't sit on the horse!! We soon worked out he was enjoying looking at all the rides, watching the lights and listening to the music, but not necessarily wanting to go on them! Bonus for us!!
We watched the ice carving and the wood chopping...yes that photo is wood chopping, you might have to squint to see it :)
We also watched the Browns Dairy Cow Milking, went through Side Show Alley, watched the Kangaroo Creek Gang do the kids music show, went though the Pavilions, looked at the Cake Decorating Comps, went to Old McDonalds Farm Show and was entertained along the way... what a busy but wonderful day with my two favourite boys!
An exhausted little boy by the time we went home!
Hope you had a wonderful day, like I did!
