Morning Tea.

Yesterday was a cooler day here in Perth and we even got some rain in the morning. It was Boyd's first day back at work, so it was just me and the boys at home... Ben was a good little boy and slept and fed, slept and fed so it gave me a good opportunity to have some time with Luke and I enjoyed spending some one on one time with him as he did with me. I was glad it was raining so we didn't have to play basketball or golf but could do some indoor activities. We did jigsaws and trains and then he offered me pretend morning tea from his kitchenette... and then I got an idea!

When we play with Luke's kitchenette, majority of the time we play with it outside, doing our usual messy food play... If you haven't seen this blog, click HERE... But today I asked Luke if he would like to cook us morning tea with real food...he jumped at the idea so I went to the kitchen to supply the ingredients for him...

We had savoury crackers, cubed cheese, grapes, jelly beans, dried fruit balls rolled in coconut and corn chips...and then Luke did some cooking!

He loved it!! ..what I thought was great was that he could eat while he played. Its awesome creative play and I was lucky enough to be blessed with some special morning tea cooked by my little man! hehe...

Ben has been sleeping in the pram bassinet since we have been home, however during his day sleeps I have decide he can go into his cot now. He has been sleeping better without Luke touching him all the time and its also alot quieter in there...  :)

Here he is enjoying his first sleep in the cot! So beautiful!

Good days like today, make it all worth while!
Its these small rewards that get you through!
I love my kids!
