This weekend I have 2 baby showers! So I got sewing and made them gifts...
Yesterday was Cecylia's shower, she is having a boy so I made a 'Tag Ball' which is great to teach your kids to throw and catch with... The tags seem to help alot! And I made a matching Tag Rug to go with it, which I try and put different textures into. Different feeling ribbons, crunchy sides and a soft middle...

The Prezzie for the Baby Jacob. |
And today I have another baby shower!! For a gorgeous girl who comes to our Connect group, a good friend of mine, Carla! She is due on Christmas Day! Only 5 days after me!! Its been so nice to have a good friend to share all the pregnancy experiences with :) She has a 3 yr old daughter Elyssa and is having another girl, so she doesn't need much but is changing the colour scheme of her nursery from pinks to purples.
So I made her a Purple Rug, quilting fabric on one side and mink on the other and a matching doll.

The Doll |
The Doll, I used the same quilting fabric as the rug but added a Satin pleat at the bottom and Satin ribbon (trying to give it a dress look) and then the same for a collar. The Ribbon say 'The Princess' on it. I wanted to give it a princess look with a ribbon crown. Dunno if I love it. But very happy with the final product. I'll have to make some more and keep refining :) The face is felt, eyes and cheeks are buttons. She also has a rattle inside!

So now I have made 'Mr Robot', I need to name this 'Doll' :) Any Suggestions?
Hope you like my sewing ideas. Your more than welcome to give them a go!! Have fun!
