So I made it to Geraldton...in record time :) Its always nice to drive up mid week because the roads are quiet. The coastal road has opened, so most of the Sunday drivers are taking that road...hallaujah... and I'm loving the Brand highway! haha... I think I did it 3 hours and 25minutes...and I had to stop once to sort out the DVD player :) But I was very safe!
Im blogging on mums ancient computer so it takes FOREVER to do anything...so uploading photos would probably kill the old girl (the computer im talking about)...so I wont upload photos today.
It was so nice driving in yesterday to the gorgeous ocean on my right... Luke kept saying 'pool' haha... Its been hot here...I think it hit 38 degrees yesterday and they have forecast 40 degrees today. So tonight its a picnic down the foreshore while Luke has a play at the water park! So nice! Cant wait!
Last night we went out to dinner and caught up with friends who have moved over to NZ but are over on holidays! Its was SO lovely! Chatted all night (Luke stayed up till 11pm - so he is totally exhausted today) But lots of laughs and stories and memories. Don't you love friendships that no matter how long you haven't seen them for or how far your lives have gone in separate directions, you can come back together and just enjoy each others company. Share with one another and trust each other. Its beautiful and such a honour!
Getting my hair done at the best Salon in town "Tresses for Hair" tomorrow morning and actually looking forward to it! I must admit I'm not a person who likes to get her hair done... but tresses knows that, and they do a fantastic job at making me feel comfortable!...and my best mate owns it so hey I'm bias...but I don't care! If your in sunny Gero and haven't been there...GO and check it out! They do a wonderful job, good price and you even get a cuppa and snack while you sit and relax!!
God is good hey! Its so comforting to know that He is in control, that everything happens for a reason and when we are walking the right path our lives are filled with peace! During my quiet time this morning, I was reading Ecclesiastes 6:10 "Do not say, "why were the old days better than these?" For it is not wise to ask such questions... Wisdom preserves the life of its possessor...When times are good, be happy; but when times are bad, consider: God has made the one as well as the other."
Sometimes I need to be reminded that God know what's he is doing! He knows our good days and seasons and He know our bad days and hard seasons, we need to trust Him and live in peace that even in the bad, we will come out stronger and wiser... But I love how his word says...When times are good, BE HAPPY! YES!! We need to be reminded of that sometimes too hey!! Be happy people! We are blessed! The joy of the Lord is our strength! Be joyful! Deliberately SMILE! Laugh, have fun! Enjoy Life!...But it everything, live with Peace!
