The Love Day.

Happy Valentines Day!

This morning I held a High Tea for 14 friends. I will let the photos speak for themselves...

As each girl arrived a gave her a bag filled with goodies...

One thing it contained was a note pad, and on the front it said...

"With this pad of paper and pen, please write an encouraging word, love note, special quote or inspiring scripture to the other girls in this room and then place it in their bag hanging on the wall.
Think about what you’re writing and make it count, it might change their world…and it might change yours!"

Here are the bags that were overflowing with love notes by the time everyone was ready to go home!

A bag full of love notes to take home!

And then came the food!! I had so much fun cooking for this little occasion!

Scones with Jam and Cream!

 I called these
'Bite Sized Pav's'

Chocolate Chip Cookies

Vanilla Cupcakes

Fruit Platter (all the fruit had to be pinks!)

 More cupcakes!

There was also, cheese, cucumber and tomato sandwiches and a cheese platter for those who likes something more savoury!

My Table Centrepiece!

 The Tea Table!

 Cold Drinks Table!

Yep, I even made sure the water was colour co-ordinated!
Don't mock me!! :)

The Table...

I had 14 white balloons that hung (were stuck) from the ceiling. On the end of each balloon was a quote on love and marriage (all the girls were married).

1.    I have always considered marriage as the most interesting event of one's life, the foundation of happiness or misery - GEORGE WASHINGTON

7.    Don't marry the person you think you can live with; marry only the individual you think you can't live without.  ~James C. Dobson

9.    Almost no one is foolish enough to imagine that he automatically deserves great success in any field of activity; yet almost everyone believes that he automatically deserves success in marriage.  ~Sydney J. Harris

10.  You can never be happily married to another until you get a divorce from yourself.  Successful marriage demands a certain death to self.  ~Jerry McCant

11.  A happy marriage is the union of two good forgivers.  ~Ruth Bell Graham

12.  Marrying for love may be a bit risky, but it is so honest that God can't help but smile on it.  ~Josh Billings

14.  Love never Fails. Corinthians 13.

I
I really enjoyed the morning hanging out with 14 special ladies.
