Polly the Dolly.

I made  Polly the Dolly a few months back for a girlfriends baby shower...
You can check her out HERE

So I thought I would make another one but elaborate her by giving her some arms and legs...
I had planned to start her Friday night when my girlfriends came over for a sewing night but after the cup of tea was pored and the chocolate hit the table it meant... Failed Sewing Night!! But a whole lot of chatting and catching up which was fantastic!... Only one machine got threaded and that was as far as we got all night!! haha...

So Saturday after my distractions had left at some ridiculous hour, I started Polly the Dolly...
My machine made it out of the cupboard!! Now that's a start.

My ol girl!

Here she was a couple of hours later...I hadn't breathed life into her yet (stuffed her) ... she wasn't backed yet either...

She is wearing a stripy shirt, with a flower overall, all in one, with a mustard flower pleated skirt.
Some BIG beautiful BRIGHT yellow buttons finished off the overalls...
and brown ribbon to top off the skirt...

Here she is completed.

Felt face, Button eyes and cheeks.

A brown bow to give a tad more life to that cute as skirt!

So what do you think?
Do you like her arms and legs?
Does she really need them?

I really enjoy making dolls... I was even thinking about making them more regularly, putting them away and selling them at markets...maybe even making some more MR ROBOT.'s...
Now for your honesty!! Would you buy one for your child? How much would you buy one for?
Each Doll and Robot would be an original. I was thinking about naming them all too... like the one above "Hippy Hannah"
Just an idea... So feed back would be fantastic!! and Honesty PLEASE!
Look forward to hearing from you!
