Im no professional when it come to education... but its so nice to teach our kids about colours, numbers and letters! Things that will only make it easier when they start school...
I was totally inspired by one of my best friends Liz at bizzy dayz (check out her blog!) She has been teaching her gorgeous girl Stella a different colour each week...
So Luke and I have been playing a game with a tub of coloured rubber transporters I bought from ... that's my pregnancy brain for you...I cant remember... Its one of those books and educational toy home party businesses... like 'Learning Ladder'... or was it 'Learning Ladder'... stuffed if I know!! haha Sorry!
I just pulled out different coloured Tupperware containers and Luke has to put the right colours into the right container...and then we counted how many were in each container!
EASY AS!!
So if you dont have these little toys you could just use
- lego/duplo pieces
- Cut up paper
- m&m's or jelly beans
- You can pick up a bag or coloured match sticks form a discount store for about $2!!
Anything that is coloured!!!
Great way for them to learn colours and start counting!
Do have some good play ideas that are educational for our kids too???....I would love to hear about them!!
