Christmas Craft

The night before last I actually had a small burst of energy and quickly got into the spirit of Christmas before the energy was lost and no where to be found! I have been stressed out a little lately just thinking about everything happening between now and Christmas... 11 days until baby davey is due and 18 days until they do something about it if he hasn't arrived (but lets hope it doesn't come to that!). I more sleep until my bestie and her 3 darlings are coming for a 3 day visit, which I am so looking forward too... and then start preparing for family to arrive for Christmas holidays... just when you feel like slowing down, the fun begins! I dont even know how Im going to do it all, but I know that time ticks by and somehow it all falls into place... But the best thing about it all is that I spend the next month with people I love and who love me, no matter how tired I am, or how the house is looking (Im sure mum will give me a hand with that when she arrives) or how early I have to go to bed these days... as long as the kettle is boiled, the cups of tea are flowing and the adult conversation is happening (yes I do get tired of only ever talking to a two yr old) then I am happy!!

Anyway...I made some Rocky Road to use in my Christmas Craft :)

This is my version of Rocky Road but you can add to or take from depending on what you like!
Coconut
Nuts (any that you like) I have used Almonds
Marshmallows
M&M's
Jelly beans (I cut each bean into 3 so its not too big)
Oreo biscuits crushed

Put all the dry ingredients into a bowl and give it a good mix and pour into a baking tray that you have lined with baking paper.

Melt chocolate (I have used 1 and a half packets)
To melt, boil water in sauce pan and simmer; put glass or ceramic bowl over top so it acts like a lid (make sure NO water gets into your chocolate or it will be no good) Put your chocolate beads into the bowl....stir chocolate beads until it become nice and smooth!

Here are my dry ingrediants in the baking tray ready for the chocolate!

Once you have poured the chocolate into your baking tray give it a little stir to make sure the chocolate go all the way to the bottom of the dry ingredients. And then pop into the fridge to cool.

Once cooled, chop it up to serve! YUMMO!

Here comes the crafty part...
I put each slice into a clear plastic bag and tied the top with a green ribbon!
You can get these bags from a party supply store, or maybe even spotlight.

Get out all those odd green and red buttons!!

And a bit if hot glueing and it came out like this...

Now all you have to do is either write out whatt is inside the bag
eg. Rocky Road
Contains Nuts

or you could write the name of the person your giving it too and a Merry Christmas message!

Here is another one I can up with...
Inside is Honey roasted assorted nuts!

A perfect little gift to add to a Christmas card for all those people who you would love to give gifts too, but at this time of year, when the budget is stretched and it all can get a little hard... this is a gorgeous gift with a little piece of your creativity on it! Our heart really just wants to bless! Its so blessed to give!

Give it a go! Hope it makes your Christmas a little easier! God Bless! xx
